KnowledgeBank 2009-2010 Total Compensation Survey of Mid-Atlantic Technology Companies
 The KnowledgeBank Total Compensation Survey of Mid-Atlantic Technology Companies is the most comprehensive assessment of compensation practices for technology firms in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is dedicated to serving the needs of technology companies ranging from small, emerging-growth to mid-market and large entities throughout the region.
This unique survey, conducted annually for the past 18 years, provides a comprehensive summary and analysis of total compensation, benefits and human captial practices data for primarily small to medium size technology companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The 2009- 2010 survey collected dat from 143 firms with total employment of 72,811 and incumbent pay data for 13,878 employees. The Survey respondents median revenue was $5.7 million and the median staff size was 24 employees. Nearly three-fourths of responding companies had annual revenue of less than $20 million.
The survey provides summaries and analysis of total rewards data from companies throughout the region, and provides salary and incentive bonus data for 30 benchmark jobs, ranging from Chief Executive Officer to Programmer Analyst, Senior Software Developer, Network Engineer / Technician, and Tech Support / Customer Specialist positions. The summary report provides salary adjustment, annual and equity incentive plan, human resource management practices, and employee benefit plan prevalence data.
To participate, firms must have more than two employees and provide pay data matches for at least two of the 30 jobs. Participating companies responses are kept strickly confidential and are not shared with any other organization besides KnowledgeBank.
